		<description>Whenever someone suggests that Congress should start regulating private transactions a la Congress shouldn&#039;t allow the same people to own print and television in the same market, I wonder if that person has thought about the unintended consequences of such media regulations.  Between websites, blogs, talk radio, print, television, internet radio, I think it is kind of ludicrous to say we don&#039;t  have an independent media.

The proper course is to identify those cases of corruption and expose the specific players in each case. To try and indict the &quot;media&quot; as a whole and then suggest that Congress needs to regulate is vague, extreme and reminds me of my favorite Reagan quote,

&quot;the nine most terrifying words in the English language are I&#039;m from the government and I&#039;m here to help&quot;
